Information we collect

When you use the Layr PDF website or sign in to the app, we may collect:

• Your email address if you sign in, start a trial, request product updates, purchase a subscription, or contact us
• Your account identifier, trial start and end times, and subscription or licence status to manage access
• Your name if you choose to provide it
• Basic website usage information, such as page visits and clicks, if analytics are enabled
• Feedback or feature requests submitted through our feedback board
• Email, optional name and company, trade, campaign tags, and follow-up preferences submitted through a trial-request form

How we use your information

We use this information to:

• Verify sign-in, enforce trial limits, and recognise paid access
• Send product and release updates when requested
• Notify users about Layr PDF releases
• Respond to support or contact requests
• Improve the website and product
• Understand which features users care about
• Respond to trial requests and, when you opt in, send relevant product tips, updates, and offers

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services

Layr PDF may use third-party services for website hosting, analytics, email capture, payments, licensing, and feedback collection.

These may include services such as Supabase for account access, Vercel, Formspree for website form submissions, Canny, Lemon Squeezy, analytics providers, and email tools.

Each third-party service handles data according to its own privacy policy.

Email communication

If you request updates or provide your email, we may contact you about Layr PDF. You can ask to be removed from our list at any time by contacting us.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above.

To prevent repeat trials, we retain a hashed email fingerprint and the original trial start time even if the account is deleted. A hash is not a copy of the email text, but it remains an account-related identifier. Contact us with retention or deletion questions.
